I am an experienced Clinical Psychologist based in Edinburgh, working as a member of Encompass Edinburgh, a new Psychology and Counselling Cooperative

COVID-19 update: At present, I unfortunately have no availability to take on new clients due to changes I have had to implement during the Covid-19 pandemic. I will update once again when I have more availability.

Clinical psychology offers a safe and supportive space within which people can understand their difficulties or life situation and participate in individually tailored psychological therapies to work on specific problems or life challenges.

What is at the core of my approach?

I believe that the key to successful therapy is the ability to tune into another person's lived experience and listen deeply. This attunement helps to build a safe, trusting therapeutic relationship that allows the client to explore difficult feelings and experiences, understand their origin and make the changes necessary to move towards greater freedom and fulfilment.

I draw upon a range of therapeutic models including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Attachment Focused Therapies, Internal Family Systems therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness and Compassion Focused approaches. I also believe that it is important to think about people in their context (be it family, school, community or workplace) and I incorporate this in my work wherever possible.
